  well it has been an interesting year for me; some heartache; some growth; and a lot of change.

  regardless of where we are on our journey away from the jehovahs witnesses we will be confronted with opportunities to learn and grow.

  Why did Jehovah forget to buy all JW related domains ?

  is the simple fact the wts forgot to buy domains like jwn etc proof that they are not guided by god ?

  how could god be so blind and forget to buy jwn, and let apostates spread their lies ?.

  what are my chances of getting the elders to hold regular congregation prayers for me with suspect cancer.

  with the view to be healed, not "made strong".

  i have never heard of any prayers offered up for a sick or dying individual.. .

  i am not a drinker but i hear single malt whiskeys are good.. yesterday at the liquor store, i asked a nice man, who also was looking over the bottle display, if he could tell me which one does he prefer and why.

  one of the store clerks, came by, listening, and said she preferred the same bottle.. i bought the one they preferred:.

  They Were whisky drinkers/sippers.

  They had 4 different Scotch Whisky's opened, so they opened mine, as well, making 5 for those that were tasting/drinking/sipping whisky's. I thought that was a great opportunity for me to try them all as well! The one the majority liked was one from China? Who knew?

  I almost wished i took the blue pill....

  since joining this site and having my eyes opened,i find i'm now dealing with a lot of emotions that were suppressed.one being the passing of loved ones,in the org we were discouraged from showing proper emotions due to the fact that if you did you were considered weak since they the dearly departed were only sleeping.now im being bombarded with dreams of my loved ones that i,due to my brainwashing never had the emotional release that i should have had.i'm just wondering how others on this site are coping,and dealing with the fact that everything we was taught was false almost as a way to keep up under control,as we lost years and decades of time.i almost wish i keep my head and the sand and had taken the blue pill.what has helped you all deal with this ...new religion......no religion...etc.

  I am generally a happy person. The downside of leaving/fading is, taking the time now to reflect. All my life did I just have a fake smile, or was I genuinely happy? Was I fakingly, happy? The chances, lost, love, lost, sex, oh my god, I can't think of what my life would have been like if I married someone compatiable. Dead loved ones? The ones I love are still alive. I will fall apart for sure when they die. And yes, I will grieve like a normal person. No one can say, but you'll see them again in "paradise" (tm) (Sounds like we are talking about Muslims).

  Like you said, everything we were taught, was false and yes, it was done to control us. A funeral talk, 5 minutes at the most, stating name of deceased, family member names, often times, not pronounced correctly, baptized at which year, yes, that about covers it. Then back to what the Society teaches...Millions Now Living Will Never Die...Oops...wrong talk. lol

  i was in an used bookstore this weekend and saw a new world translation and some other society publications.

  this made me think, what did others do with their books?

  i gave mine to my mother, 22 years ago.

  What a Week! The Bees Got Married!

  what a wonderful holiday season!

  time with family, time for fun, and in the midst of it all - we got married!

  after christmas we were in palm springs for the weather and golf, but took off for nevada on thursday and tied the knot in a sweet, simple ceremony.

  Good Evening and Welcome Sunny!

  It is so nice to meet new ones. Pull up a chair and tell us a little bit about yourself.

  I live on the West Coast by the Pacific. My time zone has me at 12:31 AM. It is late but I usually stay up and read J.net. My life of fading, after more than 1/2 century warming a seat at the K.H. and wearing out shoe leather door to door, comes up a bit lonely.

  Don't worry Sunny, if you don't get too many responses tonight. Most of the active posters have gone to bed already. The next 5 hours, are usually rather quiet on the Board.

  Are you, or were you a JW?

  Are you shy? You don't need to be shy about posting. Just even add a few words to someone else's post, so we know you are OK. OK?

  Your avatar looks to me like a "flying purple people eater" with green arms. If you are very young, f.p.p.e. refers to a folksie American song, sung in the late 1950's.

  i caught her and my one-year older sister selling my furniture at a garage sale.

  What happened next?

  I hope your sisters were, at the very least, publicly reproved.

  I have never heard of such a severe case of lies & jealousy. AND arrested? Unbelievable. I thought MY mom & sister were bad. (shaking head not laughing).

  It has been 7 years. Do you have up dates of how everyone is? How is your nephew, the disabled one?

  Sorry, I don't remember, is your Brother a witness? Did he help you out, legally, with any of this? For free, right? Yikes. What a nightmare. I am so sorry to hear of anyone, in a situation like this. Who needs enemies...when you have Family? lol (not really laughing...& not really very loud).

  I hope you and your Family are doing well, considering all that has gone on.
